Old Stalnaker Cemetery in Dekalb
Robert Fred Radabaugh helped to restore this cemetery and provided a State Historic Marker at the Site. Located on the land of Major William Stalnaker, it is a few miles west from Glenville, West Virginia at a place that was known as Dekalb. Just look for the historical marker on the south side of the road (it marks the site of the first county court. This was the site of the Stalnaker brick home. The cemetery is just a short distance west on Route 5, on the hill to the right. The short driveway meets a separate driveway at route 5 and they form a V shape. The drive to the right goest to a home and the one on the left goest to a small summer cabin. The cemetery is up the drive on the left to the cabin. At the top of the road bank there will be an ATV path going up the hill straight to the cemetery. While on route 5 traveling west, if you pass a brown wood sided home on the right, just before Millseat Run Road, you have gone too far.
